Phase 1 – the loop around the perimeter of the top field. All now complete and officially opened by our MP Nus Ghani on Saturday 7th October. The glorious weather helped and we had a wonderful event with many visitors to see the ribbon being cut. The pathway is 590m long and 2.5m wide and has an all weather surface to enable it to be used all year round. The project was funded with grants from Veolia, Horam Parish Council and Biffa Awards.
Phase 2 is the pumptrack/BMX track and we’re fundraising for this now. Hopefully, this will be constructed in the Spring 2024.
Phase 3 of the GAP project is the loop around the bottom field of the Recreation Ground, closest to the allotments. We hope to see this built next Autumn. When this loop is complete then the figure of 8 pathway will measure exactly 1 km – perfect for Park Runs!! We’ll keep you updated with any progress, of course!

Enhanced CCTV Coverage at the Village Hall & Recreation Ground
We have a number of new CCTV cameras installed to improve the security of the area. These new high spec cameras cover the main village hall car park and the lower overflow car park, below the Scout HQ building. The access road leading to the bowls club is also covered in addition to the areas around the Football & Tennis pavilion, including the tennis courts. We received a grant from the Sussex Police Commissioners Community fund to help pay for all this extra equipment.
